Introducing NFTMozaic: The Polkadot NFT Alliance Hub
Last year, the Web3 Foundation unveiled NFTMozaic, an alliance shaping the future of NFTs on Polkadot. Since then, we’ve been strategizing with Polkadot parachains to drive NFT growth and adoption.

In December 2024, the Web3 Foundation awarded NFTMozaic by Polkadot a Decentralized Futures Grant to establish Polkadot as the leading ecosystem for NFT-related projects and initiatives!
With their support, NFTMozaic plays a pivotal role in driving NFT growth and adoption across the Polkadot network, ultimately becoming the Polkadot NFT alliance hub for everyone.

What is NFTMozaic?
NFTMozaic by Polkadot is a new initiative shaping the future of NFTs across Polkadot.
NFTMozaic will be instrumental in setting the groundwork for NFT adoption with a strategic focus on making NFTs more desirable for end-users and working alongside developers and projects by building out NFT applications.
NFTMozaic will not only play a vital part in the adoption of NFTs but will also change the narrative and needs of NFTs, with Polkadot at the forefront of all NFT discussions, development, and initiatives.
At the core, NFTMozaic is dedicated to establishing Polkadot as the leading ecosystem for NFT initiatives by focusing on the following 4 key elements:
- Governance: This alliance for NFT growth will establish a council with a clearly defined decentralized vision. The Council members, who will be representatives from B2B projects and parachains that work on attracting B2C dApps, will represent the ecosystem, working alongside active parachain stakeholders. A long-term governance plan will be shaped by the elected council members.
- Technical Efforts: Streamlining the Polkadot/Substrate NFT tech stack. Creating:
1. A common standard across its Substrate, EVM, and other infrastructure options,
2. Defining official NFT pallets and their support, and
3. Overseeing the consolidation of the tooling tech stack - Indexers, SDKs, Block Explorers, Wallets, and other tools to ensure Polkadot has best-in-class tool sets for developers.
- Business Development: The BD arm of the NFTMozaic alliance will be tasked with creating a unified positioning and strategy. This includes managing inbound leads and providing targeted support for members. We will work closely in collaboration with and with the support of already-established BD groups in the Polkadot ecosystem and with expert BD individuals.
- Marketing Support: Focusing on NFT's interest in Polkadot and building out narratives to gauge users’ interests. Moreover, the Marketing front will focus on brand awareness, NFT-focused events, hackathons, content on thought leadership, and supporting marketing agencies in the ecosystem.
The team will work with parachains within the ecosystem to create one common vision of success for NFTs on Polkadot — collaborating with key Polkadot Builders, Web3 Foundation, Parity, Developers, OpenGov experts, and community members.
NFT History & Milestones in Polkadot
From the initial conceptual idea from Unique Network’s CEO, Aleksandar Mitrovich in November of 2023, NFTMozaic (previously NFTCollective) is here to create a common front to represent Polkadot NFT interests and improve the overall traction of NFTs on Polkadot.
Working alongside NFTMozaic, the Unique Network team pioneered NFT innovation as the first NFT parachain on Polkadot in 2021, laying the foundation for subsequent NFT initiatives.

- The Kusamarian launches the Kus NFTs on KodaDOT and Polkadot.
- ChessOnChain, a competitive chess game on Polkadot launches checkmate NFT pieces.
